I'm going to be the annoying person who asks this, but...

Muhlenberg parents/students/etc., looking at my classes, GPA, extracurriculars, etc., would you say I'm prepared for applying?
Not "will I get in to Muhlenberg." Although that'd be great to hear, why bother asking people who wouldn't be able to predict the future to tell me? ;P
No, I just want people's honest opinion on if my academic profile seems prepared for the application pool, and/or whether or not I even will stand a chance in the Muhlenberg application pool, specifically.

My GPA is around a 3.7-3.8, with a strong improvement in grades Junior year.

My extracurriculars don't make up the longest list, but they are ones that I am/was very dedicated to:
- Tennis (Freshman year)
- Stage crew for Drama Club (Freshman year)
- Art Club (Freshman year)
- Young Shakespeare Players (summer after Freshman year on) constantly involved year-round as an actress
- Costumes Apprentice for the Young Shakespeare Players
- Apprentice Director for the Young Shakespeare Players
- Outreach actor for Young Shakespeare Players (perform workshop scenes at schools/other events)
- Shakespeare on the Square participant (performs scenes at the Farmer's Market to advertise productions/Young Shakespeare Players)
- Founding member and actor of the Fourth Wall Players, a company directed, fledgling theatre group.
- Girl Scouts (started summer before Junior year) - working on Gold Award this next year.
- Political involvement with the Wisconsin protests and helping campaign for a couple candidates running at local and state levels.
- This next year I'm hoping to either get a job or volunteer at our county's Humane Society, depending on which comes about first (jobs are a commodity in Wisconsin)

In terms of exams, I test pretty well on standardized tests, and usually score above average (though I haven't taken the SAT/ACTs for colleges yet, I will in the fall).

For essays: I've started laying groundwork for writing it. I know what my topic will be on (the experience I have had as an apprentice director - directing my peers, friends, and fellow actors and what I took away from it, etc.). Essay writing has always been my strong point in school.

In terms of showing interest in the school, I have also been out to visit and tour Muhlenberg, had an interview with an admissions counselor, and toured the theatre department/sat in on a class. I've been in contact with students of Muhlenberg, as well as Charles Richter and the admissions counselor I met with when I visited. I'm going to come out again this fall to have another interview with an admissions counselor. I'll also be auditioning for a theatre scholarship while I'm out again (and probably try and sit in on another class).

So... what do you think? Am I ready to throw myself into the application frazzle in less than 6 months? Do you think I even stand a chance in the Muhlenberg (early decision) pool? If not, what could I better do to prepare myself (not pad, but strengthen what is there)?

Thank you in advance!

Yes, you have a chance. Your courses are on target and if your SATs are in the ballpark you’ll be a good candidate. Do note that your data, as it is currently presented, doesn’t show a one greatest strength. The extracurriculars are voluminous but scattered - demonstrate one or two key strengths in your application - perhaps Shakespeare? Also, being from Wisconsin will help.

Thank you, wordspirit!
The first three extracurriculars I am not involved in anymore; I just listed them because I was involved in them freshman year (but only freshman year). Half of my list is devoted to work with the Young Shakespeare Players, though. If I listed the productions I have acted in/directed/costume apprenticed it would be a much longer list.
Do you recommend that I drop the three that I only participated in Freshman year? Or expand my Shakespeare work to be more detailed?
The job is less an extracurricular and more of a personal and family thing, but people always talk about jobs being great extracurriculars so I thought I should include the possibility of it.

Thank you for your advice!
