I'm lost, please help out with suggestions. :)

I was wondering if I could get some feedback from people who are further along in the college process than I am. I'm still searching and I'm not exactly sure what I want. Here's what I know I'm looking for:

-Small class sizes
-Between 1,000-6,500 undergrads (Either LAC or mid-sized university)
-Engaging and relatively unbiased professors
-"Good" or well-known Economics program
-Politically diverse
-Small or nonexistent Greek Life
-Relatively low drug use
-Good-looking campus (in terms of architecture and design)
-Located near civilization. I don't want to be too far removed from the "real world".
-East of Wisconsin and North of SC

About myself-I'm a pretty normal guy and I can get along with most people. I have friends going into theater, engineering, history, English, photography, you name it. I come from a suburban background and I went to a public school. I like laid-back people, and I want be somewhere where I'm surrounded by people I could get along with.

In terms of prestige, it's important but it doesn't matter THAT much. I'd like to hear suggestions all across the board, including reaches (except HYPM and the Little Three)

So far my list is this (roughly ordered by selectivity):

Tufts University (reach)
University of Rochester (might be a slight reach but my dad went there for grad school and the person writing my recommendation is an alumni)
Bates College
Kenyon College
University of Richmond
Denison University
American University
Elon University
Muhlenberg College

Forgot to mention athletic scene. The only sports I really play are Ultimate Frisbee and Skiing (both casually). Having a good basketball team is a bonus but I don’t really like the “rah-rah” atmosphere.

Shameless bump.

ahhhhhhhh. Please help me out. :)

We need some stats…

Just assume I could get into any college outside the top 30 for national universities and top 10 for liberal arts (for the sake of objective responses).

lifewiki, in your list of desired features, you seem to be describing the University of Chicago to a tee.

From another thread:
(Male) High School Junior in a suburb of Rochester, NY
-Freshman GPA-3.2 UW (Not so hot, I know.)
-Sophomore GPA-3.55 UW
-Junior GPA-3.8 UW
-6 APs: U.S. History, Lit, French, European History, AB Calc, AP Stats (Sorry, no scores yet, but expecting at least a 4 on U.S.)
-Quite a few honors classes, At least four years of all core subjects.
-Also taking SUPA Economics and Leadership (rigorous government class)
-PSAT scores: CR-70 Math 63 (I think I can raise my Math score to at least 660 on the SAT)

U Chicago doesn’t match this criterion or the OP’s stats.

OP, you have a pretty good list started.

Lafayette College in Easton, PA meets all of your criteria.

I think Amherst would suit you, actually. It’s on the smaller side of your range, but I know someone majoring in Econ there who loves it.

Goucher might be good, or Shenandoah.

Amherst is a HUGE reach.

the drug scene at U of C is a little bigger than people realize but other than that it seems like a perfect fit
