I'm Not Happy with my Transfer

So, I attended Colorado State University for a year and then transferred to the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Already, being here just doesn’t FEEL right.

I cannot describe it any better than that. Something just feels off.
This might just be nerves getting the better of me, but somehow I doubt it.

I have met with a lot of my professors already, and still feel uncomfortable.

I know plenty of people here, and have been in contact with a fair number of them, so it isn’t isolation that is getting to me.
Like I said, I just don’t FEEL good here.

I want to transfer back to CSU, as both universities have a similar major that I could pursue (and the courses do cross over).
I guess what I am asking is what should I do?

I’m not the type to give a d*** about rankings, so that does not concern me (college is what YOU make of it).
I just want to be somewhere where I feel like I belong.
And right now UCB is not that place.

Why did you leave the first university?

Going back to your first school is not so bad. A 3rd school is a problem. Agree with the question of why did you transfer? Also, you are in your first week at the new school. If you can’t articulate more than “it doesn’t feel right”… that is not a great basis to transfer, honestly.

The grass is always greener on the other side… When you were at CSU, apparently you thought UC-Boulder would be better. Now that you are there, you think CSU would be better.

No place or life situation will make you happy and content, unless you choose to be happy and content in that situation and place.

Unless I am confused, classes haven’t even started yet. I think that you should give it some time. Work hard for your first semester and see how it goes.

To me transferring back to your old school seems more hopeful than a 3rd school. At least with your old school you will know what you are transferring to.

Why not head back to CSU as soon as they will have you?
