Unless you are desperate to leave after this year, you could really be a top candidate at places like Harvard if you were to transfer after 3 semesters college work and continue with your near perfect grades. Everyone's situation is different though, although I think you may be happier with 2 years at a place like Harvard than 3 years at NYU. Keep us updated.

Well, he could be a strong candidate for some lower ivies. I wouldn't necessarily say top candidate for Harvard, b/c so many people apply to Harvard with 4.0 from lesser schools, and very impressive extracurriculars.

I don't know if I can wait at Miami another year...I really feel like I need to leave this place in order to succeed. I came back today and I'm already getting depressed from this place.

How can I just send my ACT score? Do I leave the SAT portion of the application blank or fill it out and then just formally send the ACT score?

Also, what other safeties should I check out? Thanks for the suggestions so far, but I could use a few more and I'm lost on the subject...man, it's going to be a long semester.

Along with the above questions, what about a university such as Syracuse? Is that within reach? I can't really think of too many colleges, I guess I'm just having some trouble with coming up with places.

Go to collegeboard.com and use their college search. You can enter their stats and the kind of location you're looking for, and search colleges.

I'll try and do that...but can anyone answer the question about the ACT/SAT score section and also offer any other suggestions for personal knowledge/experience? Thanks for all the help!

Don't fill in the part for the score you're not sending. Then, don't send the score. You're not required to take both tests...
