Imperial college Q&A

Hello. Im writing this in behalf of my friend who is applying to Imperial college this year

Here are the questions

  1. Does gpa matter? He has perfect ap and sat scores, but his school is so competitive that he has 4-5 Cs. We heard that he later has to send those school scores in the UCAS education section, so its sort of worrying him. Does it really matter? (Bc i heard uk universities dont really care about gpa, but they still SEND ANYWAYS, so doesn't it matter after all?)
  2. AP scores Calculus BC 5 Calculus AB subscore 5 Physics 1 5 Physics C Mechanics 5 Physics C E&M 5 Chemistry 5 Macroeconomics 5 Microeconomics 5 Statistics 5 World History 5

SAT Math 2 800
Physics 800
Chemistry 800

Do you think he has a good chance of getting into Imperial?

His scores are excellent.

Scores alone don’t guarantee anything. He needs to have a good personal statement and teacher’s recommendation, which show why he’s a good fit for the specific course he’s applying for, and to be full-pay as an international.

But he’s already applied and is waiting to hear, I presume? So there’s no point in angsting over it now. If he’s applying late, that in itself is a negative factor.
