Importance of different Subject Areas for Teacher Recs?

Hello all

I want you guys to be completely honest to me....How important is it for recommendations to be from 2 different subject areas?

Theres one week left and I got my chemistry teacher to do one as well as my school counselor...

But i'm totally stumped for the 2nd one. Many of potential not science teachers are already packed. I could get great ones from Physics or Enviro though

So would someone please reply to the best of their knowledge?

Thanks

It really depends on a few things

-The college you’re applying to. Do they require a science/humanities combination (like MIT) or do they say the don’t care either way?
-How good those recommendations will be. The key is to have the best possible things said about you, so if a physics teacher loves you and thinks highly of you while, say, an English teacher can hardly remember your name, it is clear who should write it.

Bottom line is, you have to get them in on time and if you can’t get the teachers who teach other subjects to write one for you, there really isn’t much of a choice. If you can it’s always nice to show schools you’re well rounded and are capable of doing well in all subjects. Personally I have a linguistics teachers and a physics teacher writing them.

Good luck and don’t wait too long. :)

I was wondering the same thing! Thanks Metrical :)
