How important are extracurriculars for engineering majors? If you have no ECs but a good GPA, will you still be able to find jobs upon graduation?

ECs were not important to me for engineering employment considerations. I would like to see them listed on a resume but only because I could get an interviewee to talk a little more freely about them. That conversation would give me a better understanding of what kind of person I was going to be hiring. I wanted someone who could work as a team player. ECs are not as intimidating as discussing engineering classes with a potential employer.

The most important consideration for a new college grad was GPA and any relevant research/internships.
