I’m sure there are a handful who are interested - at least when I was there, I don’t think they actually turned anyone away. History and Lit was competitive.
@Much2learn : I am well aware that most Wharton students apply initially, but there are in fact lots of transfers in to Wharton, mainly from CAS, and it’s common to see kids on CC asking about applying to CAS and then transferring to Wharton because of the perception that CAS admissions is less competitive than Wharton. My Penn insights are getting a little dated as the cohort of my kids’ friends and friends’ kids ages, but as of a few years ago there was still a lot of demand – and it was very competitive – to transfer internally from CAS to Wharton. My point was (and remains) that there is a world of difference between going to Harvard with an interest in visual art and knowing you will have to apply to the VES major vs, going to Penn CAS and hoping you can transfer to Wharton. No one should reconsider going to Harvard because the VES major has a screen. Everyone should reconsider going to Penn CAS if their real hope is to transfer to Wharton.
