Important AP Physics question

Hey, I'm taking AP Physics C and have not taken 1 or 2 yet, just some stupid mandatory honors course that of course is no longer a prereq as of this exact year. Do I get retroactive AP credit for 1 and 2? If not, should I take the exams? I figure they're probably quite easy and I could pass them with 5's, but I'm already taking 9 exams in May so would it be worth it?

You don’t need retroactive credit, whatever that is. Just take AP physics C, most colleges will only give you credit for one of the physics sequences or the other. Its two different versions of the same class, just one has calculus. Do NOT take the AP physics 1 and 2 exams- its a waste of time.

Think of it this way, if you are taking Calc BC, why would you want to go back and take the AB exam too (which isn’t even allowed)? Not a perfect fit, but you get the idea.

Agree. It’s a waste of time and you are unlikely to get credit for both.
