Hey CCers
Am I allowed to NOT take the Spanish subject test (not the listening one) if I signed up for it along with two others (I took the other two)? I was just a little unsure because my proctor said that you can't cancel your score on a language test unless you have a CD player malfunction. I'm aware that you can simply walk out if there's a test you don't feel ready for but I don't know if it applies for language tests.
Thanks in advance

Lemme word this in a way that’s less confusing: if I sign up for three subject tests can I take two even if the one I’m not taking is a language test?

Once you arrive at the test center, you can take or not take as many tests as you’d like, up to the maximum of 3. If you simply turn in your answer sheet and booklet after the second test, it’ll be the same as if you never signed up for the spanish test (except for the money you paid).

What you can’t do is walk out of the room and THEN cancel your spanish test. You can always cancel your scores, but you have to cancel all of the scores from that sitting, not just the score for one test. The only exception is that, if equipment necessary to taking a test malfunctions (such as your CD player during spanish), you can request to have only that score cancelled.

Argh, I feel kind of bad for you, bro. You could have easily gotten an 800 on this month’s Spanish SATII.
