Impressing teachers

Sorry, just wanted to bump this thread up for more ideas.

I want to go back to school the first day after winter break and impress my teachers.
I'm really determined to do it. :D

What I like to do is print out extra material from the internet and "accidentally" leave it on my chair or something, along with maybe a folder or something with my name written all over it. This could also work with notes or whatever if they weren't assigned.

^ Hey! You're called yourself a weakling? HA. I can't even bench a regular bar...which is 45 lbs...only 30-35ish lbs

[/quote]

omfg... please tell me you're a girl.

an asian girl.

lol j/k

edit: wow... you guys are ridiculous. i've never gone out of my way to "impress" a teacher. i really don't even care what teachers think about me, beyond a certain point.

i guess this type of stuff is what gets you ahead in life, huh? maybe i should start..

Lol, yeah, no offense, but if you can't bench a regular bar, you should seriously start working out a bit. I mean, I'm not exactly the buffest guy around, but...

blu_g8orade, as ridiculous as it may sound, I need to do it if I want to get accepted to the summer programs I am looking at.

Last year I helped out my favorite freshman teacher grading papers during my lunch period. (I didn't have any close friends in my lunch and hate the noisy cafeteria). I earned easy volunteer hours plus we would talk about random things like life/environment whenever her students were stuck doing work. She wrote me a great recommendation for a volunteer job at a local zoo because when I was in her class, I'd always find a way to relate whatever poetry or whatever project we had with my love of the environment. Now I stop by her classroom in the freshman wing about once a month just to say hi and see how she's doing. She's really cool and similar to me so I don't really go out of my way to impress her. She also likes how I ask her if she knows any good colleges that have a good program in my major and I listen to her opinion on some of the colleges I look at. I don't always agree with what she says but I still listen and think about what she has to say, which she appreciates.

Put your head down and sleep every class and then set the curve.

Seriously, this whole thread is ridiculous...if you have to create a whole thread on impressing teachers, that's truly sad. Using a bit of common sense would probably give a good picture of what "impressing your teacher" should be like.

I mean, unless you have $$$$$$$$$$$$$ of course.

I'm black. I know it's pathetic, but at least I can do rdl and squats with 50+ lbs :D

at first im quiet when the semester begins but after i'm known as the opposite: loud, funny, exceptional smart..lol. you have a advantage that most of the kids are quiet and that only means that the teacher will give u recommendations based on your grades and what the little knowledge the teacher has of you

i like phand's advice the most

Next time, I would be rather pleased and extremely satisfied if you took the honor of *not * associating myself with the blatant creature above.

With that said, 16/girl not benching a bar isn't that bad, I guess. I've seen worse.

^ my bad i forgot to edit that :) for some reason i always think that you're a girl.

And I tend to think you're a male. A weak one.

Btw, that has absolutely nothing to do with screennames. Read my post again.

Huh? I just mixed you up with Poseur. By accident sorry!

Why so blunt?

Lawl, well, I'm actually pretty quiet, too. I rarely speak a word in my math classes, and usually I'm doing the homework for that day while she's trying to explain. However I've had the same math teacher for three out of four years, and even though I never really talked to besides the general "Hello" "Good-bye", as long as you maintain good grades and you're not disruptive, the teacher will like you and find something to write about.

LMAO. Never mind...I'm sorry.

Invoyable, that bench isn't that bad for 15 at all in the grand scheme of things.
