Impression About The Schools U have Visited!!

Write your impression when they visited your top schools...What it like you expected it to be? Which you will like to attend next fall?

I visited Andover and it was very similar to what I expected, but it was MUCH BIGGER! Everyone was friendly and I loved it there. If I get accepted and get FA I plan to atteend there.

SPS was SO CREEPY. i can’t get over it. My parents literally said that if I get accepted there they are not going to let me go. I loves Exeter, Andover and Deerfield. Choate seemed kind of snobby and like the kids knew they couldn’t be kicked out so they partied all the time. Just my impression.

Why do people think SPS is creepy? It’s one of my very favorites.

I know, that’s the third person I’ve heard who’s described St. Paul’s as creepy! I don’t get it.

I thought SPS was beautiful when we visited it, especially the chapel and the athletics facilities although it is quite isolated. Perhaps that made you feel like it was “creepy”?

What do you mean by creepy?

Perhaps that it was spread out. When did you visit? When I visited everyone was happy and walking around. It was a beautiful day and I love Concord.

Exeter- not so much as you may be able to tell. Everytime I go (to pick up le perfect one) its bleak and all the kids are way too quiet and like…it. I know I’m biased but its still nice. The facilities were nice and i’m sure if i went there i’m sure i’d grow fond of it.

Taft- ES MI FAVORITO! The day I went the skies literally parted and the weather was wonderful. The people were nice, i like the facilities, the people re actuly like the people in the viewbook. Happy and fun. I really feel as if I would fit there.

Berkshire- The grass was all perfectly manicured. The dorms were like hotels complete with uniformed maid and cards AND punch codes on the dorm doors. The renovation of Berkshire Hall was a bit TOO renovated for me. Like it wasn’t really lived in yet. It was a bit too cold. Plus the people were a bit lacking in my opinion.

Choate- Loved it. Food was great. PMAC was REALLY nice and I liked their science center and dining hall too. I like their other facilities too. feel fit.

NMH- I felt really comfortable there. Their new arts center is amazing. for rest of gushing read Taft.

Williston- a bit lacking compared to others but still good.

Full disclosure: Hotchkiss 3-year senior

Exeter - Too big. Ended up not even applying.
Groton - Run-down campus, overly structured. Again, didn’t even apply.
SPS - Honestly, creepy, the more I thought about it. The only student I saw was my tour guide, and classes were in session. Weird. Denied, but didn’t really care as it was my 3rd choice anyway.
Deerfield - Overly preppy, but really liked my tour guide and admissions counselor. Accepted.
St. George’s - Meh. Not in the same league. Accepted.
