IMSA Applicant Class of 2020

This thread is so dead compared to last year.

@XxSwegLordxX Do you know why? Because I was not here, now I am back <:-P

@caressmytoenails Please share with us your experience about living at IMSA. How bad it is?

@javascript My gut tells me it’s because there are less people applying this year but It could be something else.

Good luck guys! Also, any current IMSA students please tell us what you think of it!

@XxSwegLordxX My guts are telling me that might be just a lot of dead people applying this year =))

@XxSwegLordxX Do you know how many people applying from EIP? I had to miss a lot of sessions… unfortunately

@XxSwegLordxX Hey can you explain to me how e^pi*i = -1? I don’t understand the math behind that one.

@lsutiger25 Hey, friend, did you move in the middle of nowhere to increase your chances? What is up? How do you feel about your application this year?

@lsutiger25 it is Euler`s identity i think, a mathematical beauty…

@javascript Lol yep I moved to the most southern part of Illinois to better my IMSA chances obviously! jk. My application is pretty trashy since Im from Naperville lol. I mean I have great essays and teacher recs, but my SAT is pretty bad for my area :frowning: How about you? Also thats pretty cool: eulers identity

@lsutiger25 It was proven a while ago that SAT score and GPA has an inverse correlation to creativeness and innovations capability. I was told that IMSA value SAT and GPA less and less, since it does not correlate with future success. There are looking mostly for people who can generate own ideas versus people who’s brain is designed to memorize a lot of info and follow directions.
My app is pretty bad, I should be very creative <:-P

@javascript ay thats pretty lit. And nah I doubt you have a worse application than me  But, it would be awesome if we both get in !!!

@lsutiger25 trust me if they will accept me, this means that they really shifted toward creativity, and away from SAT and GPA …

@javascript Lol So, how do you recommend passing the time til results come out :))

@lsutiger25 :-? well, learn to drive a car, since you are not allowed to have a car at IMSA, no sexual relationship at IMSA as well, so enjoy yourself while you still have time… till August… sleep as much as you can since you will not have time to sleep at IMSA (due to homework load)… say goodbye to your friends, and spend more time with your family… you will not see them again… (at least often). Learn to do take care of yourself on your own (no mummy to wake you up anymore)… do enjoy the rest of Normal life… till August … Say goodbye to Ive League colleges, since your GPA at IMSa will be so miserable, nobody will want you except University of Illinois (who cares anyway)… The good thing is - you will not have your parents bothering you (who cares about parents anyway). <:-P

You are right @javascript it is Euler’s identity.
@lsutiger25 I don’t know the exact math behind it but there are a lot of interesting videos on YouTube about it. You should check it out.

From another hand, if you do not get accepted, your Normal life is BACK! :stuck_out_tongue: Just a thought…

@lsutiger25 did i miss anything? I would suggest to start doing it NOW since after May 1 (results day) you will be too busy worrying about placement test (End of May), so you will have so little time left for a Normal life… :-<

@javascript lol thanks for the great past times!!!
