IMSA Applicant Class of 2022

@brinaz03 I’m so sorry, but when I click on the envelope, nothing shows up. It just says “No new messages.”

Just to make sure, up till now, we were just supposed to do the fine arts/math form, right?

@cmo183 try now - i just sent a message to you!

@complacent1 tysm!!

@brinaz03 Hi! I got into IMSA this year as an 8th grader and would love to be a part of the snapchat group chat. I added you recently, could you please accept me and add me to the group? Thank you so much :slight_smile: looking forward to seeing you sometime soon!

How do you DM on this site?

Does anybody know if the IMSA placement test is multiple choice and if we are allowed to use calculators?

@cORD what’s your snap? I’m sorry I have a lot of people who added me lol

@VIVION from what I heard, most of it is multiple choice and I would just bring a calculator in case.

Thanks!

the placement test is multiple choice, half is calculator questions and there’s an option on each question to mark it as something you haven’t learned

also foreign language placement tests are multiple choice/essay and i think for mandarin there might be a speaking component? I took french last year and it’s ~40 multiple choice, an essay that everyone answers, and then an essay you write if you know a certain grammar topic so they can distinguish between fr 2/3 students

@brinaz03
My snap is realvolker1

Hey guys! Don’t forget to hit up https://■■■■■■/BigSibling if you have any questions about IMSA!! The Big Sibling Committee is a group of upperclassmen who are open to any questions that y’all might have! :slight_smile:

^^

For those of you who don’t know, the Big Sibling program is an IMSA Student Council initiative that attempts to ease the transition process for sophomores by pairing them up with upperclassmen. The Big Sibling Committee is a part of this program, and is a group dedicated to running the ■■■■■■ page to answer all of your burning questions as you wait for next year!

Also, watch out for a Little Sibling survey in the near future (your parents should receive an email about it soon, or at orientation). Based on your survey response, you’ll be paired up with an upperclassmen, and in the beginning of the year, there’ll be several events you and your “Big Sibling” can attend to get to know each other and meet new people!

Any wait listed students get any updates?
