Hell yeah, I am so excited. I faxed in my spring grades on monday, and got an email this morning saying I am invited to the transfer orientation. So I called down there and they said that my acceptance letter was mailed out yesterday. I can't believe it, I never thought I had a chance.

Now, it becomes difficult, and I can use some advice. I am a poli sci major and will be attending Law school right after I graduate. Up until today I have been planning on going to Cal Poly SLO as it was the best school I had been accepted to. What should I do? I have read how where you go for undergrad doesn't matter in law school admissions process, but I have also read that it can/does play some sort of role. And I know the USC is very good with getting students jobs and connections for future employment. Also, it seems like they have such a bigger focus on Poli Sci as a major, where as Cal Poly is way more directed towards agriculture and business majors. And finally the cost. Cal Poly is much, much cheaper than USC (not sure what kind of fin aid I will recieve if any). What should I do?
Thanks for everyones help,
Kyle

what were your stats? I would choose cal poly because it is about equal with usc, its cheeper, and you can probably get better grades at Cal Poly for Law School... However USC holds more wieght for jobs I think

Thanks for the reply. I had a 3.6 gpa with just about no ec's, but did have some good work experience. I also sent them a letter updating my employment and background because I got a really good internship. At the time I applied, I thought I had to submit my SAT scores, so I did, but they were not very good. I still don't know how I got in, but I am very thankful I did. The more I think about it, the more I am leaning towards USC, but still unsure.

"and you can probably get better grades at Cal Poly for Law School."

Doubtful, since cal poly is public and USC is private. Cal Poly has notorious grade deflation(avg. gpa around 2.8). USC would be much better for gpa. it seems like from your posts you really want to go to USC, so go. CP would save you a lot of money, but it wouldn't be good to spend 4 years wondering what it would have been like @ your first choice. This is from a CP student who loves the school. I just think you should go where you feel you'll be happiest. Oh, and I heard USC football games are pretty fun too...
