In N Out is by far the best fast food burger in all the world. Their fries are delicious as well. I think the reason not many people like their fries is that they're freshly cut at the store while most people are used to the preboxed kind many other places use.

Dick's also ranks highly up there, but it's only in Seattle.

Then you're going at the wrong time. If you have a late lunch there won't be that many people there (depending a little on the exact location). Some places, like the one in Barstow, are perpetually packed. The one near UCLA usually has a pretty quick line though.

**** YES! Anyone who denies this fact that In-N-Out is superior should DEFINITELY not get into HYPS. Only smart people are allowed to go there, and smart people know that In-N-Out pwns all other burger places...

Vintage HSL is made of pure win. I’d gladly, with all of the emoness radiating from my flesh, sacrifice 6 of my legendary poems for a bacon-cheeseburger.

I used to live in CA(now in MA). In-n-out is the second thing I’m going to eat when I go to CA during summer vacation. For me, 5 guys isn’t that good

In-N-Out is amazing. Fantastic burger. Easily the best fast food burgers ever, but best in the entire world? That one is definately open for debate… Especially since so many mom and pop places make amazing food…

Never been to the West Coast, so I can’t claim how much better Five Guys is than In-n-Out, but I might like to add that In-n-Out would have a tough time beating Five Guys.

However - a non-chain cheeseburger that beats Five Guys: Max Burger in West Hartford, CT. The classic with American cheese, lettuce, max’s hand cut pickles (orgasmic), applewood smoked bacon, “Max Sauce”, Ketchup, (and there might be mayo on there but I have to check that out) = Greatest burger I have ever had.
