To everyone on the Harvard Board and everyone applying to colleges on Collegeconfidential, I bid you good luck! I love you all...this board has blessed me with the wisdom and graceful wits of of peers that I never had...peers that I wish I could have had. I thank all who have encouraged me and have complimented my determination. I thank all who have been critical of my weakness for you all have made me stronger. Every single person on Collegeconfidential has the potential to achieve greatness in his or her life, and for America! But...remember when you are reaping the fruits of your labor and struggles, that unity and fidelity is what got you to where you are. Remember when you were in your lowest days you sought comfort through others at Collegeconfidential. Together we are invincible! Again, good luck to you all and ...God bless!

Look, everyone here is intelligent and talented. Everyone here has the determination and drive to succeed ANYWHERE. It doesn't have to be at Harvard. I firmly believe that intelligent, hard-working people will find success, regardless of the college he/she attends. I know that this is a tired line on this board, but it is true. Yes, Harvard is one of the best colleges in the world, but there are countless other very good colleges. Even if attending Harvard was your dream, you shouldn't let it discourage you. If you truly love what you do, then nothing will hold you back. Life is full of obstacles and inconveniences that must be conquered-doing so makes you a stronger person, and better off for it. I have always held the view that fate is prevalent in our lives....some things are meant to be, some are not. Not gaining admission into Harvard shouldn't be a knock on you as person in any way. The school gets 20,000+ applications a year, and most of these applicants are qualified. I really think luck plays a role when one is considering the top colleges-it is really impossible to discern between people so close in credentials (this is where the need for a diverse student body comes into play).

I really enjoy this site because so many people are kind and courteous, always willing to lend a helping hand. If I don't get into Harvard or Yale, I will end up at BC, which, although it is a lesser institution by rankings, is a great place for ME. I am the first college-bound person in all my family (extended as well-well, I think my Aunt might've gone to a school for a while). My parents are so proud of me and they don't care whether I go to Harvard or Bunker Hill Community College. I am nervous just like the rest of you and I have prepared for the worst case scenario, but I know in the end I will succeed with hard work. If I don't get into Harvard, I will feel exactly 5 seconds of utter disappointment-then I will start solidifying plans to attend BC.

Good luck to all of you...and Godspeed.

Also, it is important to toast to good health. We are all very lucky to not be deaf, blind,no taste, no smell... etc.

Although, I am not nervous.
