tore- yeah, well... hm... I'm not sure how much I like Penn anymore. I've been doing some research, and I don't like what I've been finding.

funky- here's what you do.

However, remove the spaces between the brackets and the "quote" and "/quote." It should come out looking like this:

At least you got into Georgetown, though, so you're set no matter what. I hope Brown works out for you, though.

I think I'll also apply to Wesleyan (second round ED) if Brown doesn't work out, but I have no idea where else. My mom's high school boyfriend is tight with the head of Amherst College, and he said he would get me in...but it feels sleazy to me and I have no desire. :(

funky: put the words between {quote}put words here{/quote}, but use [] instead of {}

too slow :(

Thanks, fids. So you're a junior, I take it?

Good luck with Brown- Wesleyan is still a wonderful school, though. And Amherst is awesome, too.

What have you found out about Penn, Calidan?

Calidan, actually, I'm homeschooled. I've been taking classes fulltime at Hampshire College and UMass for a few years now, though.

I don't like the vibe at Amherst College very much at all. I don't know about the kids. They just seem...off to me. :(

thanks, calidan and amor!

i applied to penn, as well, but only because my mom insisted. we actually had a huge fight over it, and she won. as usual. but i felt penn was a little too preppy and a little too close to home. and the fact that my mom was dead set on me going to penn didn't help.

Penn: too competitive, preppy, and preprofessional. And nothing can compare to Brown. Period.

Ok. I can live with that. I thought you were going to say that it was a bad school or something.

Le coup de gr

I am doing my research on Penn to make sure it is the right school for me (If Brown doesn't admit me)

I hope there are not too many pot-smoking hippies at Brown.

But I'm not worried.

Pot I don't mind. Hippies I do.

I like a fresh-smelling student body, lol.

I wish hippies would take a shower every once and a while and stop kicking around that darn hacki-sack

I like hippies! Then again, I do live 5 minutes away from Berkeley (aka Conservative/Republican hell and hippie heaven).

And pot I don't mind, though in excess it is annoying.

And Thomas- Penn is by no means a bad school. I just don't think it's for me!
