In-State Tuition for Illinois Residents?

I've heard from multiple people that UI is giving In-State tuition to people from Illinois. Is there any truth to this and how would you go about getting that? I would love to go to Iowa but the cost is probably too high if its out of state.

From the Iowa website (had to dig a bit to find it):

Frequently Asked Questions about Resident Classification
for Tuition and Fee Purposes
Does Iowa have a tuition reciprocity agreement with my state?
No, Iowa does not have general tuition reciprocity agreements with any state. This includes (but
is not limited to): Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

That's too bad, especially because I heard that University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is raising it in state tuition to 20,000. Now even public state schools are expensive.

Good luck!

Total costs at University of Illinois (including room and board) are around $20,000 -- not tuition alone.
