I dunno but crazy parties at MIT seems sketchy. I can't see a bunch of nerds in three inch frames getting down dirty.

Ahhhh, you said exactly what I wanted to. I can't picture there being any sort of party - let alone any sort of social - scene at MIT.

And a lot of people on this board, whenever there's a "good party schools with great academics" thread, mention Stanford. Stanford has NO party scene. Maybe one a semester there's a good party, but that's it. And I'm getting this information from kids on the football team. I wouldn't believe everything people say on these boards unless they or someone they know has personal experience. Don't just go by what you've read in the Princeton Review.

Ecliptica- Don't think of them all as poindexters... they're not. you need to remember that MIT kids have a ridiculously stressful academic life- thus letting off steam is a must.

All these people saying they can't see MIT partying have obviously never read about them (they have a national reputation) or been there.

I was at MIT for admit weekend.. and holy crap they had TONS of parties! The asian frat had this rooftop party... it was awesome! DJ, Disco balls, view of Boston, booze (prefrosh couldnt drink though... they were strict about that) and some pretty good lookin' girls.

I'm definitely going to some MIT parties this year! = D
