Just dropping a line on everyone who did not believe my predictions. My original post is now inactive, but if you check the archives, you'll see that I predicted a 7-4 season for my beloved Dores. Yeah, that's right 7 of them. You might be asking yourself where that other win could come from. Well, in my original prediction, I said that we would beat both South Carolina and the Volunteers; two predictions I stick behind. Look at USC and UT and you'll see something exciting, that's right, they have fewer wins combined than we have total. Still, let's keep hope alive: SEC East Champions sounds much better than Music City Bowl Champions. After all, they have already exceeded my expectations in beating Arkansas a week ago. Go 'Dores

Despite my lack of fondness for UT, I don't see how Vanderbilt could possibly beat a top 25 football team. Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee are all significantly better SEC East teams than Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt may have a large number of wins compared to some other schools, but please, the competition speaks for itself.

Have you even watched a Vanderbilt-Tennessee game in the past few years? Last year, the game went right down to the wire. This is, by far, the best Vanderbilt team in decades. With Jay Cutler's leadership (even though he may not be surrounded by the best supporting cast), the Dores have as good a chance as they have had. Let's not forget, UT almost lost to UAB and performed less than stellar at Florida. If Oklahoma can be beaten by TCU (not a great team), almost beaten by Tulsa (a flat-out crappy team), then have faith in the Dores this year. Also, I'm not saying anything about Georgia or Florida. Those two teams have proven that they can play quality ball this year and quite frankly scare the crap out of me.
