Hi. I took a two college classes in high school: one I got an A on, the other, a B. I’ve gotten A’s in all my high school classes. I was wondering if it would be worth sending in my college transcript, since it might make it seem like I can’t take the college workload.
For context, in that class I got access to the website where we were doing homework late, because I was a K-12 student and not a college student, and the professor didn’t give me credits for the assignments I missed. I got an A on every test, but my HW grade pulled it down.
It is quite rare for a student to graduate from university with only A’s. Even graduating with only A’s and B’s is pretty good.
Also, you are still a high school student. College classes are tougher than high school classes. It is very understandable that high school students can get some B’s if they take college classes.
You will need to report your college classes when you are applying to colleges and universities. However, I do not think that this will hurt your chances.
I do not think that there is a problem here. It sounds like you are doing very well.
Not including your college classes isn’t an option. There is a national database which will have your college transcript. You must include the information. If you don’t and it is later discovered that you failed to report these classes, you could be rescinded, or worse, should you actually matriculate. Not worth the risk.
Thanks everybody for your input. I fell way down the admissions rabbit hole yesterday and got nervous enough to impulsively make this post, but these posts made me more grounded and less nervous. (Also, I wasn’t aware that they had a national database and required you send all classes you took–somehow my counselors never told me this :/)
