Including college transcript if it has a B?

Hi. I took a two college classes in high school: one I got an A on, the other, a B. I’ve gotten A’s in all my high school classes. I was wondering if it would be worth sending in my college transcript, since it might make it seem like I can’t take the college workload.

For context, in that class I got access to the website where we were doing homework late, because I was a K-12 student and not a college student, and the professor didn’t give me credits for the assignments I missed. I got an A on every test, but my HW grade pulled it down.

You got a B and you can’t handle college coursework?

You need to reset your expectations. I’m not sure why kids today think anything short of an A is failure. This is far from the case.

If you took classes, you should include them.

A B is fine.

It is quite rare for a student to graduate from university with only A’s. Even graduating with only A’s and B’s is pretty good.

Also, you are still a high school student. College classes are tougher than high school classes. It is very understandable that high school students can get some B’s if they take college classes.

You will need to report your college classes when you are applying to colleges and universities. However, I do not think that this will hurt your chances.

I do not think that there is a problem here. It sounds like you are doing very well.

You must report all classes you took for credit during HS, even the college courses.

You didn’t say if you talked with the prof about late access to the site (and I know it’s too late now), but that’s what you should have done.

Not including your college classes isn’t an option. There is a national database which will have your college transcript. You must include the information. If you don’t and it is later discovered that you failed to report these classes, you could be rescinded, or worse, should you actually matriculate. Not worth the risk.

I don’t think you have a choice. Most colleges require that you send transcripts from ALL college courses you have taken.

Thanks everybody for your input. I fell way down the admissions rabbit hole yesterday and got nervous enough to impulsively make this post, but these posts made me more grounded and less nervous. (Also, I wasn’t aware that they had a national database and required you send all classes you took–somehow my counselors never told me this :/)

Look another way.

I’m sure you know many people who are going to college next year.

How many got straight As?? Probably not many.

Do your best - and everything will be ok.

Good luck to you.
