Hey guys, I’ll be attending regular highschool for my freshman year but applying for prep schools in the winter for sophomore year. My question is; should I apply for freshman year or sophomore year. A lot of my friends that go to private middle schools go there until ninth grade and then apply as freshman’s for prep even though they would be sophomores. Thanks!!
I also attended a private day school and I applied as a sophomore, not a repeat freshman. Though, I slightly regret my decision. I, for example, will be taking calc next year and taking it as a freshman would’ve set me even more apart. Then, you should also take into account athletics, being a year older while still having four years has its advantages, and one of them could be the deciding factor between being able to play college athletics or not. All in all, I would say it depends. It depends on your goals and aspirations.
