Incoming Undergrad, Med school hopefull

Hey guys my name is connor beleznay. I recently found out that I will be attending University of British Columbia on full scholarship (athletic + miscellaneous other academic ones) , sounds great right? it is, the only thing is that im terrified that I won't get into Med school.

I am a competitive baseball player, and i was fortunate enough to be offered a scholarship which will cover my tuition and most of my living expenses/residence fees. The academic adviser got me into the B.Sc undergrad program. As an incoming undergrad with aspirations of becoming a doctor, the concept of being rejected is obviously terrifying. I have a few questions, and worries, that i hope you fine people will put to rest.

I will be attending on baseball scholarship, will the time commitment of the course be such that playing baseball with the university hurt my grades?

Ive heard that Med school love to see ECs, especially those that center around medicine, but the training commitment from baseball is huge, i will not have time for any other ECs. will being a scholarship athlete be considered highly when i apply to med school?

Im shooting for above a 3.7 GPA, how hard is this to do? currently in highschool im pulling 90s, i especially enjoy the sciences.

Is there any chance I can have a social life? (if not, im willing to make that sacrifice). sacrificing a social life in University wont be a big change from high school. I have to train over 20 hours a week, and im constantly traveling for tournaments and show cases. my social life is my study buddies and my baseball team.

What do i do if, god forbid, i get rejected? what continued education can I pursue?
I read on UBC's Web site that their Masters of Applied science (with a chemical and biological engineering specialization) would accept non-engineering students who has a science related undergrad, but must first take 2 courses to fulfill all requirements. how would that work? how long are the two "courses" ?

Im hard working, and im willing to do whatever it takes to get into Med school, any advice, or insight on my chances is greatly appreciated. I just got accepted and im already loosing sleep on the possibility of not getting into med school.
