Independent Learning

Started college last year, at the age of 20. Did not go straight after high school even though I was accepted to a university. I did not give a **** about school or college, was not interested in learning. Now I am, and almost finished with my second semester and doing mostly my sophomore level classes first. Planning on doing freshman level class second year, i realized college is bull**** and I hate it even more than high school.

I am not an idiot and am actually very intelligent. Last semester I took 18 units and got a 3.83 GPA (got a B in philosophy due to prof being a creationist, did not go to class second half of the semester, he took off points due to not going to class. His lectures were bull**** and so were his tests, extremely predictable creationist bull****, srs). Probably my hardest classes were Physics 1 and Calc 2(took ap calc in high school), which were pretty easy.

Right now I'm in Calc 3, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and Physics 2 and I am doing very well (plus some other classes). The thing is, that college pace is sooooo slow. The only class that is a semi-challenge is physics 2, due to problems taking a while to solve because they require some intuition to set up the problems. I hate the fact that the semesters take 4 months. I could seriously learn everything that they're teaching me on my own within like a month (srs). I just don't do it because it would be a waste since I'm going to have to learn it no matter what and going ahead won't be useful.

Are there any options for people who want to learn math and sciences completely on their own and be successful? I can honestly say I can teach my self very high levels of math and sciences on my own, probably 4 years worth of college time, in about 6 months. This is due to the sheer amount of resources available on the internet. I don't do it because it will be a waste, I won't be able to do anything. If I learn quantum mechanics, advanced calculus, number theory, etc or w/e all on my own, what will be the point if I don't have my piece of paper with a golden sticker that was awarded by an accredited university? I hate being tied down like this. Going to a community college right now btw, save money.

hey if a mod reads this, please delete this thread. I already got help in another forum. Time to do some independent learning and talk to some head of departments. Persuade them and prove to the that I know what I need to know.
