Anyone with ideas on Carleton vs. Davidson?

How about Carleton v Colorado College?

Carleton vs. Davidson: Both excellent schools but very different campus cultures. Greek life and D1 athletics at Davidson. Obvious differences in climate and geography. Trimester schedule at Carleton; semester schedule at Davidson. My son chose Carleton - his best friend chose Davidson. They are both very happy with their choices. If possible, you should visit and see how each campus feels.

Carleton – trimesters, Colorado College – 1 class at a time system I have heard. Don’t know if that’s obligatory, or just experimental though.

Carleton vs Davidson posted on other thread.

Colorado College is defined by the unique Block Plan academically. Can be a love it or hate it story for many. Make sure it fits you.

Student body and overall academic offerings at Carleton will be stronger, many similarities socially in student body.

This is incredibly helpful since I need to choose between Carleton, Grinnell, UChicago, and Wesleyan. Great post.

The block plan at Colorado College is not experimental. They’ve been following it for decades now. All students there are on the block plan.

Both Carleton and Colorado College are members of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM). Aside from the block plan, another major difference is geography and setting. Carleton is in a small rural town. Colorado College is in a mid-sized city at the foot of the Rockies. Winters in Northfield MN are bitterly cold. The climate in Colorado Springs is milder (still with a fair amount of snow, but sunnier, warmer, and dryer.)

i know this is a bit old, but this thread is awesomely helpful! thanks! :D

Any UC Berkeley VS Carleton threads out there?
