I live in Michigan and was accepted to the Kelley School of business at Indiana and i was also accepted to Language sciences and the arts school at University of Michigan. I can still try and get into the Ross school of business after my freshman year but it is difficult while on the other hand i'm already into Kelley. I have had some bad experiences with Michigan in the past and starting fresh at Indiana might be a good thing to do but i am still unsure of where to go. And money has nothing to do with it.

Can your family afford Kelley OOS? What bad experiences have you had with UMich? Are you a transfer student?

yeah my parents can afford kelley and idk michigan just with some people that i know that go and are going there and that its only 45 min away

^^There are over 40,000 people on campus in Ann Arbor. How many kids do you know? It’s likely you will hardly ever see them. 45 minutes away is not exactly a hop, skip, and jump from your home. You will be living on campus anyway, so that really isn’t a big issue. Finally, why would you pay OOS tuition to a state school that isn’t as good? If you study hard and maintain a good gpa, you should get into Ross. Finding a job nowadays is not easy, you might as well get ready to compete. Your degree from Michigan will help give you an edge, especially in business.

If you’re a D.A to Kelley, go to Indiana. You’ll receive the best education of your life either way, but there is no guarantee you’ll get into Ross.

Consider the following:

1) Kelly’s direct admit threshold is not very high. All you need is to meet the following criteria:
- Score 29 or better on ACT or 1270(CR+M) on SAT
- Top 10% of high school class or 3.7 GPA

2) Kelly is much larger than Ross (1200 vs 350 per class). How would that impact the career services?

3) What would you want to do with your business degree? Check out the career services annual reports from Kelly and Ross and see which one (or both) can help you reach your goals.

Kelley has excellent career services. You are in Kelley and not in Ross. I would pick Kelley. Both are wonderful schools, of course, but you can’t go wrong with IU.
