I JUST CALLED THE OFFICE OF DIVERSITY!

"Don't panic!"

Those who received this letter are in fact ACCEPTED! =D Congratulations!

Those who haven't received this letter yet, IT'S OKAY! As they look through the applicant pool, it goes through some stages. a few Hard acceptance, a few hard rejection, and the maybes go off into another pile and they review that Again and repeat the process. Those who got the letter were simply picked out first. After the first few stages they collected the minorities in the ACCEPTED pile, and sent them the email.

OTHER MINORITIES STILL EXIST IN THAT "MAYBE" PILE!
THey haven't finished picking their class, not yet. Decisions go out April 1st. The lady I spoke with said they have stopped going through the admitted pile and sending out emails, and they will simply sent an email to all the minorities who were accepted and didn't get it already on April 1st.

So it's aww-right =]

(Im cuban btw, so yeah, it does affect me...)

So wait, the diversity hosting letter that I received was an acceptance letter?

If it says “This special invitation is extended to you because of your strong academic and personal record and because you will be admitted to Cornell University’s Class of 2014.”
then yea, Congrats, man! =]

The rest of the minorities who were accepted should receive the same letter on Acceptance day, April 1st (hopefully I do too!)

Does anyone know how much travel they pay for, if any at all?

they pay for all. but only you :]
I have Cornell as my US backup now, which is SO awesomme! ( I got into University of Cambridge as an American international…but that’s conditional on me getting a 5 on AP Chem and 4 on AP Physics…■■■)

if cornell asks for more financial documents does that mean your accepted?

So like how long is te diversity housing program for? Is it like a day or a week? I’m so confused!

It is from April 5-29 and it is an acceptance for sure. I received two of them: one from Dartmouth and Cornell

Is minority URM: blacks, hispanics, and native americans? No asians?
