@momneeds2no this is an old post, but curious what school your daughter went with? My daughter recently visited Colby Sawyer and really liked it. My concern is if she will get “bored” in a year or two…
My son was admitted there for class of 2017. He has similar concerns. He is going back for an overnight this weekend. I’ll let you know his thoughts. . .
That would be great @MommaLisaRI
Colby Sawyer has recently done some reorganizing to improve its financial position going forward. Here’s an article about it from December:

@Consolation, thank you for sharing that link; my daughter will be an English major- which they apparently are eliminating!!!
Perhaps not a fit? B-)
@Consolation, it definitely isn’t a good safety school anymore!
Thanks for the article - we also listened to this interview with the new president regarding the plans for the school. http://nhpr.org/post/amid-financial-woes-colby-sawyer-college-cuts-five-majors#stream/0
It sounds like the school is making tough decisions to ensure its can stay open and competitive. I also appreciate the transparency of the College. I’ll update you after the big overnight visit this weekend!
Follow-up on my son’s overnight visit. He really enjoyed it - he felt the campus was bigger than it originally felt when we did the spring tour. He skis too, so the free Sunapee ski pass for students will help keep him from being bored. He’s still waiting for a few more colleges to accept him (or not) and then he’ll decide. C-S is on the short list.
