Information caution

I just want to give a caution here. If you REALLY want to know about financial aid policies for your school, you need to contact YOUR school. There are a number of good sites posted here that also give very good information about the financial aid process in general.

Please remember...most of the posters here are parents. There are a couple of financial aid folks who post here....but the vast majority of posters are parents (and some students). When I post a response...unless I am ABSOLUTELY sure...I always put something like "you need to verify this"...or "please someone correct me if I am incorrect" ...or..."this is my understanding or opinion". This is a message board which does have some very knowledgeable folks posting. But please, check everything for specifics that may apply to your situation. There is no way that any of us can tell you exactly what will happen with you.

The best some of us can do is tell you the EFC cut off for the Pell grant, the amounts of Stafford Loans, and the like.

Just a caution.
