Is there anyway that I can alert the basketball coaches of the schools that I applied to and have them take me seriously? I've played for a while now, and I'm almost sure I can play for schools like Emory, Pomona and Amherst?

I don't want to use this as a means to get in, but I haven't received any confirmation of my athletic supplement from any of the schools that I've applied to. I haven't played organized ball in a while, but I'm sure I'll be able to get back into the fold at those schools pretty easy. I just want to talk to coaches because part of the reason I want to go to certain schools is because of the sports aspect. I know it's presumptuous to assume this without being accepted, but I don't want to wait until May 15th when I have 2 weeks at most to make my decision on what school I want to go to ... provided that I get into one or more. Anyways, GL everyone.

Sorry if I sound conceited, that's not my purpose here at all.

Most athletics websites have a form for prospective student-athletes to contact the coaches. This is because at many schools, the coaches can't contact the s-a first.

Here's Emory's: Emory Basketball

When visiting a school, it's important to try and meet the coach at his/her office. Even if they are too "busy" to set up an appt with a student who is not a high-caliber recruit, you should try to find the office while on campus and introduce yourself. My D did that at two smaller schools and was met with great enthusiasm by the coach, even though she had no appt set up.

Yeah I filled out the athletic supplement for all of the schools above. I've emailed the coach but his email address doesn't work. I've tried calling twice, but to no avail. I've left messages. Well, two -- don't want to seem stalkerish...
