So I committed to SLO the day after I was accepted but I still haven’t paid the initial payment, thus my housing isn’t secured. Had many disputes with the initial payment of $2,125. After consideration and many discussions later, my dad will pay for it since I won’t go to the Philippines for Christmas (~$1700). I also chose to not get a yearbook ($99), go to prom ($125 for the ticket), go to gradnite ($120), go to senior picnic ($25), and rent my cap and gown so it wouldn’t be a burden for my dad. (And yes, I’m depriving myself from my senior year. Many say it’s sad, but I have to make sacrifices.) He went on vacation to the PH and will return at the end of this month on the 28th. By then, I will have everything secured. So, I want to be placed in Poly Canyon Village. (Call me crazy! But I thought about it for a long time. It actually will be cheaper and more beneficial for me in many ways.) On my housing app, I did list iCommunnity as my first choice. So my question is, do I have a good shot in being placed in PCV? I know it is a dumb question especially since PCV is the last place freshmen would ever consider (heck, not consider at all!) but I’m still a bit nervous considering housing is based on a first-come first-serve basis. Thank-you.
