My son attends the University of Colorado at Boulder for aerospace engineering. Great program rated 12th last year in the country, this year 14th. Ahead of USC in programs with Phd’s. They do not give out a lot of money to OOS students but you sound like a good candidate for the Presidential Scholarship which is around $55,000 over four years. Beautiful school in the beautiful town of Boulder. He has loved his time there.

You would likely be a candidate for the [Camras Scholars Program](<a href=“Admission and Aid | Illinois Institute of Technology”>Admission and Aid | Illinois Institute of Technology) at IIT.

Since the Aerospace program is in the same department as Mechanical, it is quite straightforward to move from one program to the other should you choose to change after the first or second year.
