Hi there! I am considering one of these colleges in Switzerland. Just wondering what
exactly is their help to get into the Ivy league or Russell group universities. How does a diploma from one of these Swiss colleges could help me?
You need to ask their college-placement teams where their graduates end up for their university educations.
Thanks happymomof1! They say those are Ivy league and Russell group universities. But how does their help show in practice? What advantage at that moment does the student have in comparison to someone graduating from another highschool?
The “selected” list of recent uni destinations makes it clear that their students go to a fairly wide range of unis. If you are hoping that this is a fast track to Harvard or Cambridge, it isn’t.
The diploma itself isn’t what what helps you with admissions. it is a combination of academic rigor and prep for what that group of competitive unis value, plus some super connections and experience with admissions at that level, that together make sure you are given every opportunity to show yourself to best advantage. Note, however, that it is not a magic bullet! The top of the class does great, the middle of the class does very well, and the bottom of the class does ok. Being at the top of the class is very demanding.
One other advantage for an international student is that instruction is in English.
