Does private you Universities Depaul and Loyola in Chicago to be exact give grants that are not federal but are from the university? If so are institutional grants good or no?

Most colleges do have their own money and other funds that are not federal or state that they use for financial aid and/or merit scholarships. Yes, institutional grants are good. They are dispensed at the discretion of the school, according to their own rules and desires.

Mona…it would help if you provided needed info when asking your questions.

You are a TRANSFER student from another university with a 0 EFC.

It is VERY doubtful that either of those schools would give you grants to cover their costs. They might give you $5k-10k in grants and your $5500 Pell Grant, but that’s not going to make a dent in the high overall all costs.

How much can YOU contribute? If you can’t contribute much or anything, how is getting “good aid,” going to help you? You would need FULL aid.
