Int. studs. ED1 applicants ’06 you gotta compete with me!

Hello international students from around the world,
Here is how we all stand. This is as good as it gets:
About 3-5 internationals apply ED1 every year.
Now comes the hardest part: 1-2 get in!

Introduce yourself and share some of your credentials.

Let me begin:
I am from Nepal and I aspire to be a Reedie, pretty soon:D.
SAT 1:
Jan: 560 Critical Reading.
640 Maths
June :540 Reading
800 Maths
610 Writing( 10 in essay)
A-level EnglishLiterature and Language: A (Eagerly Awaiting other results:cool:
That is all till now. What about you, want-to-be Reedies?

Hi, I am an international student.. But I am not sure whether I will be applying to Reed... Saw the viewbook that Reed sent to me, and I am not sure whether I will fit in there. No offence, but your CR and W seem to be way too low, even for international students. I wonder whether both of us will be able to thrive in such intensive environment. But it's great that Reed graduated Steve, that apple guy! yeah, good luck and all the best!

Actually, Steve Jobs lasted only a year at Reed, though he hung around for another. He later received an honorary degree only.

Hey man screwup,
I do not expect to be good when I join Reed, only when I come out of it.
By the way, why dont you give Reed a shot? It will be a great challenge.

Tough coll. to get in. But not that tough.
There IS room for some fluke admission, aint there:rolleyes:? Especially when you look at the admission rate?

Hey Int. early applicants of 2006,
rise yeh zombies from thy ensanguined slumber and show thy coutenances and thy credentials! rise from thy ashes of disappointments and recreate thyself like the phoenix; show thyself like the soaring eagle, ever so majestic in its flight.

(P.S. special thanks to dictionary.com and I guess you got the metaphor!)

hey college freakfrom nepal!
i'm also from nepal. haven't taken my SAT but will soon take it in OCT and better watch out I'm gonna get higher than wut you've got in both of your tests!
by the way, who are you? from bnks?

ok ok, i'll admit it, i'm international and applying to reed. probably not early tho, not sure. however, i have been living in the US for 6 years so i dont know if criterias are any different-probably not. anyhow, good luck to everyone!

Hello people,
I just heard this site existed, so I’ll revel the enormity of this site.
Firstly, my name is Thor and I am from Shetland Islands, my ancestors migrated from Iceland. I am from a minority sect: there are only 2000 people like me living in the world today. I finished my intern in red bellied seal protection programme of six months last Friday and I am happy to be unhooked right now, (it was a lot of messy, poopy scroopy work:eek:.
I would like to say that I too am applying to Reed, November 15th. I dont know much about the college but my brother who just graduated from there with a magna cum laude, recommended me Reed because he said it fitted my educational achievements of 2 SAT aces in SAT1 Critical Reading and SAT2 Physics, I should have known better than to be complacent towards the SAT1 Maths and SAT2 Math2c or I would have taken up the tally of Aces to 4, but I am not that down over a 780 and a 760. I did my IBs but let me not get into that right now...
Academics aside, I finished my essay and I hope that the people in Reed will like it.
Good luck everyone!

Geeeez, which planet are you from?

if the Nepalese guys are from bnks then it would do good to state your ID ( roll no.) so that it will be interesting to current students.
