Intellectual Vitality Essay

So for Stanford's prompt about intellectual vitality, would it be too unusual to write about Pokemon?

I have legit reasoning for it, I swear. Pokemon actually did influence my intellectual experience a /lot/ (I owe my most of my interest in conceptual design and etymology to it, actually), but I'm not going to go too much in detail for fear of stealing.

Or would it be more reasonable to write about a more serious experience? I could write about summer lab research or a variety of other more "intellectual" topics, but they all sound extremely cliched to me.

I have heard that this essay is possibly the most important out of the three required, but it seems like every topic about conducting a research project or working in an important area has been written before. However, I don't know if something as off-topic as Pokemon would be a good idea.

Tip:write an essay that imbodies not show.

Anything goes really. If you can explain why pokemon is intellectual, then you’ll be fine.
