I am deciding whether to do the intensive freshmen seminar. Has anybody done it, or known people that have, and would you recommend it?

I’m so glad I saw this. All I have to say is:
Go. Go. Go. Go.
It was the most fun three weeks I’ve had since coming to college, and I’m hoping to work there next summer. Its like a big camp that’s designed to help you get accustomed to the college workload and make friends. There are events every single night that help you to learn more about campus and make friends. It’s seriously so much fun, and I still eat dinner almost every night with the group of friends I made there.
If you can afford it, go. It’s so worth it.

I’ve only heard good things about it.

I have friends who did it and they say it was one of the best decisions they’d ever made. They’re all still really close with the people they met there, too. I sometimes regret not doing it after hearing how awesome it was, hahah. So I’d definitely encourage you to go ahead and sign up if you are interested.

My son did IFS and it was fantastic. He LOVED it. He made good friends, learned the campus, got an A :)! It was the perfect introduction to a large university. I would strongly encourage you to participate.
