Interest Gauging?

Does Boston College gauge interest as part of their admissions process?

I’m asking because I found out - much too late - that WUSTL does. I was waitlisted there, though I really expected to be accepted. When I started searching through why that could have happened, I discovered that they weight interest somewhat heavily in admissions. Now, I didn’t really care with WUSTL, because I truthfully WASN’T all that interested in them…however, I am quite interested in BC, but have not “shown interest” as I live quite far away and have been unable to attend anything put on by the college.

I dont think interest is terribly important at BC, as they don’t keep track of your visits to campus (you don’t need to fill out a card and all that). Still, it can’t hurt to express interest in one way or another (like talking to the rep for your area, talking to coaches, etc.)
