Interior Design?! please help?!

Which school is most reputable for interior design?

Pratt Institute
FIT (Fashion Institute Of Technology)
Parsons: The New School For Design
SVA (school of visual arts)

Which overall is best? Any others that score high in interior design? THanks!

University of Cincinnati

Bachelor of Science in Interior Design

Interior Design at University of Cincinnati is nationally ranked -

2009 Design Rankings Just Out: UC Recognized for Prized Programs

Thanks!
I saw Pratt was #2...and so far that is my first choice but I'll have to visit/apply, etc.
Does anyone know about FIT's interior design program? I can only find info on their fashion.

bump?
anyone have info on FIT in new york?

Not much on FIT. But I know Pratt and University of Cincinnati have a very good architecture program and art program, so their interior design is probably very good as well. I remember that when I applied, Pratt have a pretty good system that get it's student employ.

If you are really serious and have not problem working late nights and love the city, I would suggest you sign up for interior design in SVA. FIT has a great program but the amount of work you do for only two years and have to reapply is too much of a hassle to deal with. Pratt is good but for architecture. The neighborhood is not that great so that would be a minus in that part. Parsons, as of Dec 2008 the interior Design department had it's accreditation stripped from that school. Meaning parsons interior design department has failed to meet the requirement of New York accredited schools for having an interior design program. See CIDA for more info on that!
I'm currently in my last year at SVA ID and I have to say these 4 years here has been the best. Please attend the open houses you will know what is right for you.

Best of Luck
