Poland - 1

purity and chastity said: "every admit pack is not DHLed. I got mine through EMS ...so dont lose hope guys"

You actually mean that not all international admits receive their decision through DHL? How do you know this?

cos she got hers from EMS as she said and she is an international :D

*clinging on to teeny weeny chance *

Yeah but can you tell me what "EMS" is? Is that the name for Nepal's mail or what?

sorry no idea... :(
in my desperation i juz hoped it is another of those mail services.. :p

Sometimes DHL partners up with other courier services to get packages to remote locations and/or places where DHL isn't popular.

Thanks. I was hoping it was standard mail, so then I could still have some hope. I live in Mexico, and I haven't received anything from DHL, so I guess I have been rejected (or, to the best, waitlisted).

Thailand - 1

The other two admits from Thailand are Americans.

EMS = Express Mail Service

I think it's more likely that purity lives in a city where DHL has no office, so once the nearest DHL office got her package, they EMS'ed it to her because they could not hand-deliver.

ohhh........ thnx for squashing my hopes... :p

Hope can only be squashed if you let it be. :)

Hope is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -

I've heard it in the chilliest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet, never, in Extremity -
It asked a crumb - of Me.

Thanks to Daniel for bringing the poem back to my memory.

It really makes no sense that no one recieved a DHL package from the UAE. Mind you, we do have many DHL/Fedex/UPS offices here, but as cooldude stated, 2 or 3 applicants get in from the UAE each year. I'll throw in a guess that Fedex/UPS is taking care of the packages...? :P

the guy at EMS told me that they received that package from MIT not from DHL ppl So Id say that neha1 has still got hope.

and we do have a DHL office in Nepal...infact its 15 min walk from my house... :D

I see. :) Then it's strange that they chose to EMS, not DHL, your package. Good luck to those still waiting!

Congrats! Just curious, the two from china & usa did they study in local (Singapore) schools? RJ too like u. The other singaporean is he also from RJ.

By any chance, is there any applicant from Mexico in this forum? Does anyone have the slightest idea of how many people from Mexico get into MIT each year? I'm pretty sure I got rejected since I haven't received anything, but I would still like to know. Thanks!

Kyrgyzstan - 1, here

Didn't anyone read my message
I said that the list from DHL is wrong. A friend of miine received his package (from DHL) and his name was not in the list since you and I have counted only 2 Bulgarians. In fact they are at least 3

Thanks michy88! - the 2 singaporeans and the usa citizen studied in RJC, the guy from china was from hwa chong.
