The single biggest factor in international admission is your ability to pay. If you can pay the full fees, plenty of excellent universities would be happy to have you. If you need financial assistance, you are facing an uphill battle and need to find ways to distinguish yourself.

Think about ways to strengthen your academic or extra-curricular profile in whatever time you have left before applications are due. An extra language class won’t make a difference. A national or international award might, whether for academics or sports or journalism. Activities that demonstrate initiative and leadership skills might - whether that’s coaching youth spots or running a fundraiser. Improving your SAT scores might, assuming there’s still room for improvement.

Lastly, you can coordinate with your references to paint a coherent picture of yourself in your application. Help your teachers write strong letters, e.g. by providing them with a reminder list of your accomplishments, contributions and any obstacles you may have overcome.
