International going for cornell ED chance me and I'll chance back

@meriks‌ that is incorrect for schools like Cornell or other top tier schools.

Many top private colleges put caps on international students, full pay or not, so the acceptance rate for international student is much lower than acceptance rate you see in their websites. For example, Washington and lee has 18% acceptance rate(google)
However, their actual acceptance rate for international students(both full pay or not) for this year(I asked the admission was) 25 out nearly 700 international students, which is less than 4%. State schools like UCLA or UCB-which gives no aid to OOS-may happily accept any international students with money, but TOP private schools are not same. We are talking about schools like Ivy leagues or schools in similar ranks.
Also, MIT accepted 119 out of 3940 international students(MIT doesn’t care whether applicants need money or not). which is 3%, compared to roughly 10% acceptance rate for permanent residents/citizen applicants.

@paul2752 I understand that, but people generalize for all universities. My statement was general for the whole forum. The majority of internationals don’t (only) apply to ivies. That’s how i see it :)

Well the OP’s talking about Cornell. :s

Does anybody know how many internationals apply to cornell engineering and how many get in?

Ask the admission office. I don’t think the common data set shows how many students who are both international AND engineering majors got in.
