I'll try to keep this as simple as possible. Basically in my home country you can go to law school right after you graduate from high school, and that's what I did. I started law school in 2012. I have always wanted to study in the USA and, since I hate law school, I decided to go after that dream. But since I have already attended university, that means I can no longer apply as a freshman, right? However, I'm pretty sure that none of my courses will transfer, considering they're all very specific. Will I still have to apply as a transfer student? Ugh, I'm so confused. I had no idea you could not just start over as a freshman at a university in the USA if you wanted to.

Colleges vary in who they consider a fr vs. transfer applicant, however, if you have completed a full year of post-HS college, you will be considered a transfer applicant at any US college.

Whether or not your coursework will transfer is immaterial. Determination of how you apply is based on the number of credits/amount of time of post-HS college taken, not how many of the credits will transfer.

That’s because you can’t. Colleges decide who they consider a fr applicant, but you always have to submit all college transcripts.
