international looking into getting to medical school.

This is not a new question, yet the answer has not been written on a crystal plate. I am an interantional student; a biology major and a computer science minor in a US college. I know I am not expecting an overly mind boosting responce, but is there any possibility of getting into medical school? I will like to hear testimonies from international students that got in. And I can't pay 200k

Here’s a somewhat dated (2009) resource that lists the admission and FA policies towards international applicants for every US medical school

[NAAHP: Medical School Admission Policies Towards Non-U.S. Citizens](<a href=“Home - NAAHP”>Home - NAAHP)

I think you may find the information discouraging–very little FA available except at some of the very top private universities. Or for MD/PhD applicants.

*And I can’t pay 200k *

As you know, only a very small number of int’ls are accepted to US MD med schools because the purpose of US med schools is to educate the future doctors for this country. I imagine that the few that are accepted are hooked in some way to justify the seats that they take.

Also, there isn’t FA for int’ls to attend US med schools (there’s hardly much for Americans), so you’d be expected to show that you can pay.

How do you expect to pay for med school?

(BTW…for an int’l…I’d guess that the cost would be more like $300k+ since you wouldn’t be instate for any publics…so you’d be paying the high price for all SOMs)
