I've been accepted to Midd but I don't know if it offers necessarily the best program for international relations/political science or even history compared to NYU...
Does Midd offer many connections for IR? Or does NYU is more advantaged on this point?

How would you rank UCLA, NYU and Midd for students'life + IR or political science program?

Thanks!

wow...middlebury has possibly one of the strongest political science programs EVER. that is probably one of middlebury's best departments. I would say not even comparable to NYU. Middlebury has some of the most famous polysci professors ever, and a recommendation from them looks real nice when applying to harvard or yale for grad...and middlebury produces so many diplomats from foreign countries.

(lots of foriegn students majoring in IR/polysci in hopes of becomming political leaders in their own countries are at midd)

midd or NYU for IR or polysci? that's a no brainer. thats the REASON people GO to midd. i live in middlebury al my life and ive sat in on some courses..they're amazing.

i would rank middlebury first for sure. ucla is also good, i would only go there if you prefer thousands of people all over the place. i prefer small elite schools, pretigious, amazing professors, and not sitting in 200 student classes. then again i applied to 10 liberal arts schools and no universities..it's up to you.

middlebury will offer you a much better student life..because it's rich and private, to put it simply. (i know thats oversimplifying it, but its true). it's just secluded.
