Pretty much the question in the title. I'm a NYS resident, prospective student, rising senior, and I want to study IR (or an equivalent program) at Binghamton. Probably focusing on East Asia (Chinese).
So how's the IR program there? Any current or graduated students there wanna share their thoughts and experiences in the school?

Thanks in advance!

I would look into Geneseo more so than Binghamton.
Or even Stony Brook.

I'm here at Binghamton and I have the same interest. I am officially undeclared, though I would probably have matriculated in IR if Binghamton offered it. What they do offer are two options that are called "Certificate Programs" that show up on your transcript upon graduation as minors.

There is the ISCP (International Studies Certificate Program) or the Global Studies Certificate Program. Neither is very well developed, and neither is a major.

I'm currently looking at Geneseo, which has stronger programs for IR-like studies. Though I've only spent 7 weeks, I'm not sure if I want to stay. I actually filled out the transfer app to Geneseo just 2 days ago as a "just in case."

Good luck.
