How do people from around the world (Europe and Asia) view Vanderbilt undergrad as an academic institution? Is it well known?

Also, domestically, where is Vanderbilt most highly regarded/well known?

Thanks.

I don’t believe Vanderbilt is as well-known as it could (or should) be internationally, but there is a great group on campus that’s working to spread the word - Global Perspectives. It’s bringing together people of all nationalities, American students and international students, and also sending people abroad to talk about Vanderbilt. It’s definitely gaining ground, but is by no means very well known, as far as I know.

In America, I would assume most big companies hiring will have heard of Vanderbilt, lol, though the random average person on the street sometimes doesn’t know about it. Of course, it’s much more well-known in the Southeastern states.
