a) As a dual citizen, how important is it that i emphasis my ‘international’ appeal?
b) if another person from my school applies ed , could that really hurt my chances?
thank you!!!

No, Barnard went out of its way to say that it judges each student independently and does not compare students from the same school.

As to your international status, when you write your application emphasize the parts of you you find most important. If being a dual citizen is at the heart of who you are, sure, make it central in your app. If it isn't, just mention it in passing.

Someone has described the app. as "the story of you." Sad to say, you are trying to sell a brand, yourself, without appearing to be doing so. A little tricky, but you can manage it.

Create a picture that is appealing and true to who you are. However, only you can decide what is the essence that your want to showcase.
