international student looking for masters program in the US

This is my fist post. Hope you can help me. My name is Marcela, I'm a vocal performance soprano from Colombia (the country in south America), and I'll be graduated by december. I'm looking for a good-not-top masters program to apply to anywhere in the US but I have a ton of questions and people at my school are not being very helpful and as I don't live in the US I can only access to info by internet. I've had a little experience in teaching but I'm not sure if I want to make a masters in music education yet. I attended a Summer Voice Festival in the MSM but I'm not sure if I'll be able to go back there. Also the only way for me to study in the US is by a scholarship (which I'll be applying for some here in my country) and/or financial aid directly from the school there.

Do you recomend mastering in vocal performance/opera or mastering in some other field like musical education or arts management which can give me better opportunities in my future job life? Is it better to look for conservatories or for Universities? is it better to look for vocal performance or for focused on opera programs? And las but not least can you give some advice about good but not top school to look to?

Thanks for the help.
